Curry and Completion!

The Tedders have friends in Prague who own an Indian Restaurant. It was the location of the team farewell dinner on the final night of the RESTORE tour.

We were all so tired it was a challenge to sit back and enjoy it all without falling asleep!

a troubled time in Czech history yet a triumphant one!

ISRC Codes and Such

You can't imagine all of the details surround the making of a CD/DVD. Long after the jet lag has subsided and life has returned for each Worshiplanet band member, the administration for RESTORE continues. One such task is obtaining the various codes and permissions. For example each song has to have its own ISRC code. It stands for International Standard Recording Code. Even the spoken worship pieces and prayers need coding! These ISRC codes get embedded on the discs at pressings. This provides a way of tracking the project. They look like this:  USPR37300012
Boring huh?!

A Prague Prayer

We were very aware during the RESTORE tour that without God's presence and power, we played in vain. Each concert began seeking God's blessing in prayer.

On The Job

Camera man Curtis working hard at capturing concert footage. Both cameramen and the photographer were like kids in a candy store! The cathedral in Prague was particularly wonderful to shoot. It was very ornate and with it being a lunchtime concert, the light was near perfection as it filtered in through the ancient stained glass.

One More Time

These photos show Mark and Giorgio running through the Czech lyrics one more time. The chorus of 'This is our God' was sung in both English and in Czech. Klara rehearsed with the boys on their pronunciation and metering. The guys did a great job and their efforts brought smiles throughout the audience.

A Surprise!

Worshiplanet team member, Klara Valentova, organized the addition of a string quintet for the RESTORE recording. Klara was joined by four other musicians (including her father on bass) and became part of the live worship recording at St. Mikulas Cathedral in Prague.

We can't wait for you to hear them on the CD/DVD!

Back Home

What a treat for Mark & Carrie to be back in the land that they formerly called home. The Tedders spent four wonderful years living in Prague. Their boys went to secondary school while Mom & Dad served the International Church of Prague and the European Evangelical Alliance.

Mark & Carrie developed lifelong friends there. It was a wonderful experience that they cherish even today, fifteen years later!

Prague was also the place that they first met Klara Valentova. At the time she was a budding Czech violinist who was also working as a lawmaker. Now a judge, Klara is a faithful member of the Worshiplanet Band. She joins us on tour every year and has lead God's people into worship literally around the planet!

For the glory of Your Name!

Here's a clip of the new restore project that will be released in September. This video piece was shot in Firence, Italy - "For the glory of your name".

Our Focus

Central to our faith is the cross of Christ.

In Prague’s famous Hussite church known as St. Mikulas, the cross hangs front and centre for all to see.

The crystal chandelier was brought in by the Russian Orthodox community who worshipped in the building at one time. It was one of our favorite parts of the building!

Rolling Out The Red Carpet

Making music and worshipping inside of St. Nicholas Cathedral was better than any red carpet treatment that Hollywood could muster! The Worshiplanet Band got to be a part of history. We were honoured to worship in a place where hundreds, even thousands, of worshipers have gone before.

Double Duty

Our bus drivers did a great job of driving. But like the rest of the RESTORE team, they had other jobs too. Perry and Tim sat up the screen and projector in each location so our audiences would have song lyrics. Then Perry had the task of running the PowerPoint slides which were not always in English!

Sundown

When the sun goes down in Prague's Old Town square it adds a magical touch. As you can tell from photographer David Mc’s shot, even darkness doesn't dim enthusiasm for the Baroque beauty.

A Sneak Preview

Luke Flowers of Colorado did the original artwork for the CD cover. Then Marylynn Chee (an Aussie living in Beijing) took Luke's idea and ran with it! Here's a sneak preview of the full colour insert for the project. What amazingly talented people the Lord has put in our path!

Rendering and Editing and Proofing

During the last 48 hours cyber world has been awash with the RESTORE project.
  • David (in China) sent through the final DVD mix for proofing yesterday.
  • Mark and Carrie looked at it, sent it back to China for half a dozen small changes.
  • Now it's back in USA cyber space.
  • Jim (in Colorado) finished the first draft of the preroll and bonus footage.
  • Mark and Carrie viewed it.
  • Mark skyped in corrections to Jim.
  • Jim sent it to the Tedders for another proof.
So are you dizzy yet? We are!

By God's grace (and a lot of man hours), the final CD and DVD will be overnighted to Texas for pressing tomorrow!

Keep praying!

Dualism

Dualism does have its place occasionally.
Reader and long time friend, Chrissie Kelly, joins with a local pastor to read out Isaiah 58 in French and English.
It was a powerful moment during the RESTORE tour.

No Better Place

Here we are worshipping with the French body of Christ in Lisieux.
What an honour for the Worshiplanet Band to lead these sweet people into worship.
Surely this is he best job in the world!

Making Music

The Worshiplanet Band in Lisieux. At last the songs were becoming familiar enough to relax and worship with them.

Focused Folks

Hard at work in the background is camera man Jim K.

Sunday, July 4, 2010

The cathedral in Lisieux felt the largest. The vertical space was nearly overwhelming as we worshiped. It reinforced the small place we occupy on this planet. And yet, as we praised we sensed our significance in God's plan.

Inspiration

Your dwelling place is not of stone
but in the heart of man.

Team Meeting

Taking a moment to discuss and pray about the evening service.

Oh Wow!

After crossing the Chunnel, the four hour drive across northern France was beautiful. And this beautiful cathedral awaited us in the picturesque town of Lisieux.

Going Deep

We never thought the Worshiplanet Band would play under the sea!

Camera man David asked, "why don't you guys do a song down here?" And that is exactly what happened!

Hopefully it will make it onto the DVD as an extra clip.

PS. The tip money in the guitar case is our own. Sad isn' it?
